• Defragment will defragment your hard disk.
5. Once you’ve chosen, Disk Defragmenter will begin. You can stop or pause the process at any time by clicking the appropriate button.

2. Choose Add or Remove Programs.

Add RAM to Your PC
Adding RAM (also called Memory) to your PC almost always gives a boost to performance. You can buy RAM at any reputable computer store, and we recommend that you have a professional install it. That same professional (or your computer’s manufacturer) can help you decide how much RAM you need.

Load a Few Pages at a Time, Then Grab Some Coffee
Open several browser pages (or tabs) at once, then type in the Web address for each one right away. While they’re loading, step away for a while and return when they’re all there. That way, you’re not waiting for each new page after you’ve finished with the previous one.
To open a new page while one is already open: Choose File, then New Window (or New Tab).
Adjust the Amount of Disk Space for Your Temporary Internet Files

Sign Up for Newsletters Instead of Visiting Web Pages
Lots of Web sites allow you to sign up for a newsletter, or even an “RSS” feed, of their activities. Rather than waiting for a Web page to load, you can just check your email or newsreader.
Use PeoplePC Web Mail
PeoplePC Web Mail is free and fast. And you don’t have to wait for a big attachment to download before viewing the rest of your email. Sign in to Web Mail in a new window at: webmail.peoplepc.com
In Web Mail, save pictures to your computer before viewing
When you get a picture as an attachment in Web Mail, rather than viewing it in your Web Browser, click it and choose Save. That downloads the image to your computer and you can view it from there.
Use a Faster Web Browser
Many people find that Web browsers like "Chrome", “Opera” and “Firefox” surf a little faster than Internet Explorer. You can download these browsers for free from their Web sites: www.google.com/chrome, www.opera.com and www.mozilla.com.
